In 1877, Edison, with help from “ muckers”, who were individuals around the world looking to make fortunes in America, he invented the phonograph. A patent is a document granting an inventor sole rights to an invention. He worked extremely hard and registered 1,093 patents. The secret of his success was not only about his creativity, but in his ability to create a workplace where he could spark the creative abilities of other people.
